A Blessing Times Four Part 1

In Part One of this series, Sarah and Tony Stevens tell the surprising story of finding out they were expecting quadruples. While the news was surprising, what was even more surprising was hearing their doctor’s advice to abort or selectively reduce the pregnancy. Sarah and Tony knew that could never be an option for them. So, they turned to the maternal-fetal medicine specialists at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. Their new set of doctors finally offered some encouragement and are providing the best medical care to help Sarah carry her babies.

Dr. William Pozlin, a maternal-fetal medicine specialist with the Seton Center at Good Samaritan Hospital outlines the critical risks a quadruple pregnancy brings. He also detailed the doctor’s role in helping the mother carry the babies to term (around 34 weeks for a quadruple pregnancy). Through counseling, routine blood work and mandatory bed rest, these doctors do their best to ensure that four healthy babies will be born.

Tom and Sondra Head are the parents of Sarah Stevens. After hearing the news that their daughter was expecting four babies, they were extremely nervous for Sarah. But they knew the best way to support their daughter was to offer their help and encouragement. So far, everything is going according to plan, but they know with a multiple pregnancy there’s always the risk that something can go wrong. The entire family hopes that viewers across the country will pray and encourage them through this journey.
