British hurdler Tasha Danvers-Smith was only three months away from competing in the 2004 Olympics when she and her husband found out they were pregnant.

As Britain’s top contender for a gold medal, Tasha faced enormous pressure to have an abortion. But when she and her husband walked to the door of the local abortion facility, they knew no Olympic medal could ever take the place of their baby. Today, they are the proud parents of Jaden Wayde.

Tasha is, once again, training for the Olympics. Though many said she’d never be able to do it, she is performing at the same level she was before her pregnancy, and says she’s more excited than ever! (Season 1, Episode 12)
